Miss Me?

Here I am, crawling out of the woodwork, spitting out splinters and such.
Maybe some of you have noticed, or then again, maybe you haven't, but I haven't been around this summer and part of the fall.

Anyone miss me?  

Well, I have had the weirdest summer.  I have decided that summers are not relaxing or having fun in the sun; at least not for me.  In fact, they are more stressful than the rest of the year.  I don't know why that is though.  Anyway, I think I would like do a reverse hibernation and sleep through the summer months and wake up at the beginning of fall.  I am going to skip all the stuff that has happened and just explain one part of it.

I have had 2 long term projects I have been working on; one is the Bleach doujinshi which is here and the other is a Bleach fanfic at fanfiction.net.  I had dropped the fanfic for the longest time because although I had quite a few readers following the story, there weren't many that commented or communicated.  Folks, I'll admit it, I am pathetic.  I am shallow and love to hear from readers.  So for the longest time I just concentrated on the doujin.  But this spring I began to get messages asking me to pick up the story again.  Sweet and begging does it for me.  But in the time I wasn't working on it, I forgot whole parts of my own story.  (I know, who does that?)  

I went back over the story and was quite unsatisfied, so began rewriting paragraphs here and there and finding so many typos that slipped by me the first time.  (groan)  Then I began writing.  To make sure I would stick with it, I swore I wouldn't get on dA during the summer until I was finished with the rewriting and writing new chapters.  Stupid vow.  Stupid me for making a stupid vow.  I thought, "Oh, this will only take a few weeks, tops."  I didn't count on the fact that I am slow.

I'm back, as I have got several new chapters written, just waiting for me to go over them with a fine-tooth comb and for my beta to red mark.  

And for those of you wondering about the doujin, the joy of doing it has virtually been sucked out of the project because of this stinking new program I have been trying to learn.  >_<  I may go back to a very rough, crude rendering if I can't work smoothly and quickly this art program.  That's one option of dealing with the problem anyway.

Lastly, so much time went by that I was kind of embarrassed to get back on and say "Hello" to friends and followers.  I am not usually so… well, amiss in keeping in touch.  Gomenasai!
